Langleybury Cricket Club Bull-dozed as Herts Ad teams star in the County Intermediate cup last 16

Herts Intermediate County Cup - Last 16

The Bull are into the last 8 of the County Cup with a thumping 7-1 win over Watford League side Langlebury FC. The Bull were relentless and pounced on a number of errors by the visitors, cruising into a 3-0 lead within 20-mins with goals coming from Jack Woods, Dan Walsh and Joe Fletcher. Captain Jamie Sharp added a fourth later in the half to make it 4-0 at the break and the tie over with.

The Bull made some changes at half time and one of those subs, Lui Neill brilliantly set up Woods for his second. A lapse in concentration allowed the visitors to score a consolation goal, but Neill added one of his own immediately after smashing home from just inside the box. The rout was complete when Ash Talbot slotted home for number seven.

FYP cruised into the last 8 with a season best win over Saints FC, 10-0.

Brookmans Park progressed with a 3-2 home win over Hartham Utd. The visitors took the lead against the run of play, but normal service was eventually resumed with leading scorer Adam Page bagging a brace and giving Park the lead at half time. Hartham once again responded, and it took a late penalty from Page not only to give Park the win but also secure his fifth hat trick of the season. A well-deserved win for Park, which should have been more comfortable as many decent chances were created, but just not finished.

Wheathamspstead Wanderers failed to join their fellow Herts Ad sides in the last 8, despite scoring 4 against AFC Turnford. Stephen Buckler got two, with Frankie Buckler and Simon Fourcroy one each – Turnford’s striker getting six of their goals, a fantastic player who proved to be the difference.
